Professional Experiences

In the summer of 2015, Ryan interned with Maser Consulting, P.A., a consulting firm based out of Red Bank, NJ. Ryan, based out of the Lehigh Valley, PA office, worked as a construction inspecting and testing specialist for the geotechnical department within the company. Throughout the course of the internship, Ryan was responsible for testing concrete, asphalt, and soil compaction. He was also responsible for inspecting concrete  placement, proper backfill  and proper compaction of  excavated

These reports identified construction deficiencies and indicated whether or not work was performed to the standards upheld by the construction drawings and project specifications.

In the summer 0f 2014, Ryan interned with Victaulic, an engineering company who focuses on construction piping solutions and is based in Easton, PA. While this marked Ryan’s second year with Victaulic, this was his first experience working in Victaulic’s Construction Piping Services (CPS) department. During his time in the CPS department, Ryan was responsible for analyzing the piping systems for existing oil fields and replicating each system with a three-dimensional AutoCAD drawing. These drawings were intended represent the existing piping connection methods with the Victaulic piping connection methods by use of TSI components within a three-dimensional AutoCAD environment. Ryan would then develop a bill of materials from the AutoCAD drawing, and these would be used to provide a price estimates for the client. At Victaulic, Ryan was also responsible for aiding with quantity takeoffs, projects estimate comparisons, and additional AutoCAD modeling.
