Reflection

Senior thesis adequately provided me with an opportunity to use the skills and knowledge that I have developed over the past five years as an architectural engineering student. This thesis forced me to utilize Penn State faculty members and construction industry members as resources and allowed me to build relationships with these individuals. My construction depths challenged me to think critically and helped bridge the gap between learning about construction processes and planning these processes for implementation. This thesis also provided me an opportunity to think critically in other fields of architectural engineering. By performing acoustical and structural breadths, I was able to practice design techniques that I learned in my third and fourth year courses. Having the opportunity to reinforce my understanding of acoustical and structural design practices will help me once I join the construction industry after graduation.
